make Costa Esuri a golfers paradise. The West Course is long, over 7300 yards, with very wide fairways and exquisitely shaped greens, with spectacular views to Portugal and to the Guadiana River. The East Course measures at more than 6,900 yards, and is perfectly integrated to the valleys that run through the Costa Esuri development with views to the sea and the town of Ayamonte. It is a tighter, more technical course than the West. Ayamonte
Located on the banks of the Guadiana river, bordering on Portugal, Ayamonte was always a quiet fishing town. The Greek called it Anapotaman ("over the river"), which evolved into the town's present name. The Guadiana River is the border between Spain and Portugal. Near the river mouth you will find the charming town Ayamonte with its attractive fishing port. It is a town with approximately 18.600 inhabitants but during the summer months the town comes to life with numerous tourists from around the world who visit the area. The nearest large city – Huelva – which is also the capital of the province, is only a short drive from Ayamonte. Ayamonte offers everything for you to fully enjoy your stay: an interesting culture, a long history with places to visit, wonderful beaches to sunbathe or practice sports, a busy commercial centre with restaurants and bars, several golf courses as well as hotels of all types and categories. There is an old medieval centre in the town with historical buildings, narrow roads and a very typical Andalucían atmosphere. There are no cars in the central area which makes a stroll here very pleasant. Outdoor fans and nature lovers will very much enjoy a stay in Ayamonte. In addition to the beaches of Isla Canela and Punta del Moral, there are also other beautiful spots nearby. Isla Canela is not only the name of one of the beaches but also the area in which magnificent marshes can be found. It is an ideal place to go bird watching as a wide range of different species can be seen.
